With Emotional Transfer Drumminng, Escola de Samba creates the bridge between presentations and true, emotional experiences.
Recent findings in brain research make it clear that cognitive contents are hard to remember for most people. Unfortunately, many presentations and lectures are full of cognitive terms. Although we understand the content, we find it hard to "internalize" it in the long term. For this, the human brain needs a stimulus with emotional relevance. However, integrating this emotional dimension into cognitive presentations is easier said than done.
With the event concept "Emotional Transfer Drumming", Escola de Samba builds a bridge between rational understanding and emotional internalization of "bulky" facts. At drum events, the essential key words of lectures and presentations are captured in such a way that they can be "drummed" in a short drum performance in which all listeners participate as active musicians.
In an emotional transfer drumming intervention that lasts between 15 to 60 minutes, three to five key words can be processed. The initial letters of the terms, which are the core topics of a lecture or a presentation, are first assembled into a meaningful acronym. For example, the central theme of a company merger - perspective, exchange, corporate culture and liquidity - is the acronym PECL.
This term is now musically experienced: each letter is represented by its own instrument and its own rhythmic pattern. The participants will be guided by an instructor from Escola de Samba to play their respective instrument and its rhythmic pattern. Each instrument alone, sounds unspectacular. Only when all instrument groups play together, the typical, motivating Samba groove emerges - a perfect metaphor for synergy, which can also be experienced and felt by the participants.
In addition to the various sensory impressions of drumming together, the mediated core themes are processed with the positive impressions of the common drumming via the limbic system in such a way that they can now be called up in a simpler and positive connotation.
Emotional Transfer Drumming events are designed to support and emotionally internalize content from product launches, marketing and sales lectures, as well as internal events on operational change processes and strategic reorientation.
Auditorium: The concept does not require a specific structure, but works well with parliamentary or theater seating.
Stage: 10 square meters of free space for Conductor and three or four co-conductors.
